Industrial Mechanics (m/f/d)
Industrial Mechanics specialising in mechanical and systems engineering are engaged in areas ranging from manufacturing new equipment and spare parts to assembly, maintenance and repairs. They must be proficient in different machining techniques such as welding, turning, milling, and grinding and they need to understand the concepts of shape and positional tolerance, including how these are applied during the assembly process. They must also understand the basics of how machine components interact with regard to the transmission of motion and forces. After they have completed their apprenticeship, junior skilled workers can continue their development by taking a vocational diploma, or undertake further training up to the level of Technician or Team Leader.

As an Industrial Mechanic you will be responsible for basic machine repair and jig making. Other areas you could be involved in include Manufacturing, by setting up, operating and monitoring production lines, or in Assembly and Quality Control, handling components and complete compressor systems (both on-site and in the field).
Duration of training: 3.5 years
Training location: Coburg / Gera
Qualifications required: Qualifying secondary school certificate or higher
