Mechatronics Technicians (m/f/d)
Mechatronics Technicians, with a hybrid training in industrial mechanics and electronics, are involved in the assembly and maintenance of complex manufacturing equipment and systems. They build electric, pneumatic and hydraulic controllers and programme them so as to streamline the workflow. They test the functioning of controllers in automated systems, resolve faults or malfunctions and carry out preventive maintenance. Mechatronics Technicians are certified electricians under the accident prevention regulations. Because the areas in which Mechatronics Technicians can find themselves working are so diverse, they learn a large variety of skills during their training and thereby accumulate a huge knowledge base. Unlike traditional metalwork training, where learning takes place through repeated practice and drills, Mechatronics Technicians learn their trade hands-on, working independently on actual live projects.
